Cross Community Players, Inc. (CCP) has been presenting family-friendly theater in the Maple Grove/Osseo area for 40 years. CCP was founded in 1980 to raise funds for CROSS (Christians Reaching Out in Social Services), a social services organization which assists local families in need of food, financial help, school supplies, clothing and home items.
CCP incorporated separately in 1998 and continues to collect nonperishable food items and school supplies for CROSS Services as part of our commitment to the community. CCP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
CCP produces two theatrical productions a year: a large-scale musical in the summer and a smaller cast show in the winter. We participate in community activities such as parades, Christmas caroling and entertainment at special events. An estimated 10,000 volunteers have donated tens of thousands of hours of their time to CCP. We emphasize and welcome family involvement, drawing on volunteer talent from across the Twin Cities.
CCP is a member of the Minnesota Association of Community Theatres and receives funding assistance from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council.
